Aishwarya Rai Impress Director Our Fashion: She’s a diva who’s walked the red carpets at international film festivals and left the onlookers ogling at her fashion styles. Now, Aishwarya Rai puts her knowledge of fashion into bear for designing the costumes of her character in the film Robot or Endhiran (in Tamil).

We hear that the actress gave a lot of inputs in designing her own dresses in the film. Her knowledge of fashion doubtlessly impressed the film’s official designer. Even director Shankar acknowledges the contribution of Ash.

“Aishwarya plays a modern girl in the film, in the songs we have presented her in a never-seen avatar. I know she applied a lot of thought in designing her own wardrobe,” Shankar is quoted to have said.

Made on a whopping budget of Rs. 190 crores, ‘Robot’ is touted as the most expensive film to be produced in India. The film will release on September 24, 2010.
