
UTV Network’s Hindi movie channel UTV Movies will premiere Jodhaa Akbar on 15 August at 11 am. The television premiere is within six months of the movie’s theatrical release.Released in February this year, the movie stars Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as protagonists.
Jodhaa Akbar is the story of Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, Rajput princess Jodhaa, and their marriage which began as part of a political alliance and eventually turned into love.
The channel will also showcase "unseen footage" from the movie, which was not a part of the theatrical release. The "unseen footage", spanning 34 minutes, would be introduced by director Ashutosh Gowariker after the movie ends.
Additionally, UTV Movies is also organising a contest around the fim called "Azeem-O-Shaan Mulaqaat Contest". Viewers can participate in the contest by answering questions during the telecast of the movie wherein the winners will be given an opportunity to meet Gowarikar and members of the cast.
Launched on 24 February, UTV Movies has premiered movies on television like Aamir, Halla Bol, Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, Aap Ka Suroor and My Name is Anthony Gonsalves.
