Aishwarya Rai stole the show, and our collective breaths, at designer Neeta Lulla's late night bash at Henry Tham lounge, South Mumbai, Saturday, March 29.

After having played the doting 'bhau' on Friday at Tina Ambani's 13th Harmony Art Show at Nehru Centre, Worli, Aishwarya played the carefree daughter in the company of her mother, Brinda Rai yesterday.

Aishwarya, who is waiting for the production of her next film Robot to start, is missing husband Abhishek Bachchan who has been away on location in Miami since early last week, filming for Karan Johar's Dostana.

 A production date for Robot will be announced as soon as south director Shankar is able to zero in on the right cameraman, giving time for Aishwarya to catch up with her friends.  

The 34-year-old former Miss World (1994) seems to exude more confidence and good cheer having shed the weight she had gained post marriage. She certainly smiles more easily. We love it but understand it could be tormenting for the men around her!

We were delighted to see Aishwarya change tack with her style yesterday, attired in a white sleeveless calf length lace dress with V neckline.

She balanced the alluring serenity of her dress with provocative red lip color and smoky eye make up.

Adorned with gold ball earrings and gold bangles, she had left her hair open, as on Friday.

Neeta and Aishwarya go back a long time. Aishwarya has stayed loyal to Neeta letting the designer style her not just in her film but also on her wedding last year and other major public appearances.
