Filmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and other co-producers of the movie Heroine had earlier accused Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for hiding her pregnancy before signing the film. Though Aishwarya never spoke about it to the media, the actress, however, decided to return the signing amount to UTV.
Neither UTV nor Madhur asked Aishwarya to return the money, as she did a photo shoot and also shot for eight days for the movie. A source said: " Aishwarya was not willing to keep the money. Initially she had thought she would re- start the project once the baby arrives. But things went in an entirely different direction when Madhur accused her of hiding her pregnancy".
"Now she doesn't want to be associated with the film in any way especially after the negative publicity, the source added. Amitabh Bachchan, had earlier mentioned in an interview that the matter had been sorted out between Aishwarya and UTV pictures. Meanwhile, Madhur has gone ahead with his ambitious project, roping in Kareena Kapoor to play the lead role. Kareena, who had earlier demanded a remuneration of Rs8 crore for the film will now have a share in the profits which is of course a big news in itself. Till date, only the A- lister male stars had a share in the profits and now with this demand, Bebo will soon be joining their league. Ash's loss is Bebo's gain.
